 About Leadmines Motorcycle Club

Leadmines Motorcycle Club was founded in 2010 with the aim of promoting motorcycle trials for classic bikes and beginners / clubmen on modern machines. With interest in classic bikes growing over the last few years Leadmines MCC seeks to run events which are both fun and at a level that wont destroy both you and your machine! Also, for all you riders with modern bikes that find traditional trials much too difficult for beginners, or if you have never tried trials before, we have warm welcome for you. Our aim is to encourage riders like you into the sport with trials at a level that will have you coming back for more.

So, if you have an old classic lying around or can even borrow one for a day, you will be made very welcome at any of our events. Classes include Pre '65 (for machines built prior to 1965), Twinshock, Aircooled monoshock and Evolution (for first generation watercooled machines). A more indepth explanation of the classes and grading system is given on our site.

If you have a modern trials bike lying at the back of the shed but never plucked up the courage to give competition a go, why not join many like yourself and give the Clubman class a try. Each class features two routes, A and B (or easy and hard). No competition licence is required to ride Leadmines MCC events. All you need to do is join the club (5 pounds) and pay your entry fee. The clubman classes are also open to riders holding an MCUI trials licence on modern machines and are Graded 'D'. (Riders with a higher MCUI grading may compete on a modern machine but will not feature in the results.)
